Our in person classes combines flexibility with in-depth training for those balancing dance with work or studies. Meeting once a week for three hours, these part-time classes supports steady growth in technical skills and artistic expression, making it ideal for dedicated dancers looking to progress over time.

Class Schedule & Description

13 weeks course | Feb. 14th - Apr. 4th 2026 Saturdays | 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm Dance Production | Combo Praise Instruments | Ministry Preparation These combo classes train students to create and present worship dance pieces with excellence and purpose. You’ll build stage awareness, spacing, transitions, timing, and rehearsal strategy—developing ministry-ready skills for live worship. The course also covers the thoughtful use of worship instruments (flags, mantles, streamers, and more), emphasizing clarity, order, and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit so every element serves the message and strengthens the atmosphere. All students will collaborate on a culminating dance production.

Meet Our Instructor

NELSON RIVERA | INSTRUCTOR  Nelson Rivera has been dancing since the age of 16, gaining extensive experience in various styles, including jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and modern dance. Creativity has always been a vital outlet for Nelson, and through dance, he strives to honor and glorify the Lord in all aspects of his life. In addition to his passion for dance, he is also a skilled singer, utilizing his vocal talent to serve in the worship ministry, offering his voice as another way to praise and honor God. Throughout the years, Nelson has had the privilege of collaborating with numerous dance ministries, learning from each experience while pouring his heart into serving others. He remains dedicated to fulfilling the calling that the Lord has placed on his life. He is deeply passionate about sharing his love for the creative arts, creating captivating performances, and crafting memorable experiences that inspire both audiences and students alike.

Meet Our Instructor

MARI APONTE | PRAISE DANCE INSTRUCTOR Mari has served as a core ministry instructor with HOTAI for many years and has been a pillar in our house since the school’s beginnings. She leads the dance ministry at her local congregation, ETDA (Orlando, FL), overseeing a team of more than 30 ministers. Her passion for equipping creatives fuels her service as a Spiritual Ministry instructor, where she disciples, trains, and encourages those called to minister through the creative arts.
